Queen's Athletics and Recreation Team Website Policy

Link only to an external website

The Athletics Webmaster will create a link directly from an Interuniversity Team or Interuniversity Club page that has been posted by Queen's Athletics to an outside website only. Linkages will be made on an individual team/club page on the next level after the url: http://www.goldengaels.com/interuniversity/teams.html has been accessed. Queen's athletics assumes no responsibility for the hosting, maintenance or posting of updated material to a linked site. The Webmaster will be responsible to create a link ONLY to an external website.

  1. A Golden Gaels logo MUST be visibly displayed in either the upper left or right hand corner of the index page. A copy of the Golden Gaels logo can be obtained from Henk Pardoel, Communications Co-ordinator at sproject@post.queensu.ca. A return link to both Queen's Athletics http://www.goldengaels.com and Queen's University http://www.queensu.ca MUST also be visible on the index or front page.
  2. Individual team or club sites should avoid commercial endorsement on their sites, however, certain host sites may have commercial endorsement requirements that may be unavoidable. If this is the case, Queen's Athletics reserves the right to assess the sites for suitability before creating a link.
  3. External websites can be seen as having a connection to Queen's Athletics through linkage, and as such, Queen's Athletics reserves the right to sever a link if the site is deemed to be offensive, in poor taste or violates the student-athlete code of ethics. A complete copy of the student-athlete code of ethics can be found in the student-athlete handbook, produced by Queen's Athletics.
