Closing of Fitness and Lifestyle Centre

The School of Kinesiology and Health Studies regrets to announce closing of the Fitness and Lifestyle Centre effective August 31, 2007. The Centre has been in operation for the past 14 years under the stewardship of Ms. Kimberley Shaw and has developed programs promoting health, nutrition, and physical activity.

Although the two dedicated staff, Kimberley Shaw and Rodney Wilson offered top-quality programs, the Fitness and Lifestyle Centre could not continue to operate under the current financial model. The School of Kinesiology and Health Studies has been working with Athletics and Recreation to ensure the continuation of the following programs in 2007-2008: Fit for Life, Lifting through Breakfast and Lifting through Lunch.
