Instructional Sports Skills

The Instructional Program is an integral part of the athletic and recreational opportunities available through the School of Physical and Health Education. One component of the Instructional Program is the non-credit activity courses. A wide variety of courses are offered to the entire Queen's community, providing individuals with the opportunity to learn new skills through low cost instruction.

Fitness is another important portion of the Instructional Program. the very popular V.I.P. Fitness Club caters to a wide range of personal fitness preferences, as do specialty classes such as Basic Weight Training and Introduction to Fitness.

The final area of focus of the Instructional Program is the leadership and coaching courses which offer national and provincial certification opportunities in a variety of areas.

The non-credit instructional programs and the V.I.P. Fitness Clubs are subsidized in part by Campus Recreation, with the help of your student activity fees. It is this subsidy that enables us to offer free membership in the V.I.P. Fitness Club and a discounted rate on most programs to students who have paid athletic fees.
