Entering a Team

linkIntramural Team Entry Form - League (Word Document)

Any full-time graduate or undergraduate student, or part-time students who have paid their Athletic Fees, are eligible to participate in the Intramural program. Part time students may pay their Athletics and Recreation fee through the Intramural office to become eligible. Queen's Faculty and Staff are not eligible to participate.

BEWS and WIC leagues are faculty based - meaning you play with students from your program of study. If there are too many students from one faculty for a team, we'll split them into extra teams. BEWIC leagues are open - meaning teams of friends, housemates, residence floors, etc, are accepted. Follow the steps below to register a team:

  1. For all leagues, come to Athletic Information night, which is Tuesday September 11th, from 5-8pm in Bartlett gym. For BEWS, WIC, and in many cases BEWIC leagues, find your program's table, and sign your name on the entry forms of teams you wish to join. Make sure you print all information legibly, so you can be contacted at a later date. Again, don't be upset if there are a lot of names on the forms. We'll split the teams where appropriate.
  2. You can enter an "open" team into any BEWIC league, or the BEWS/WIC Soccer Dome leagues. Instructions will be posted on our main page as soon as details are finalized. Your team captain must then attend the league captains meeting. Failure to have a captain or representative present WILL RESULT in your team being denied entry to the league.
  3. Entry forms are obtained from our website. They should be completed IN FULL,
  4. A reminder that players may play for one team only per league. Players who play for more than one team per competitive division will face suspension, and the team will automatically lose that game.

Once team numbers are known, a preliminary 2-week schedule will be drawn up and posted in the PEC and on our scheduling website. Check the schedule link on www.goldengaels.com. Managers will be contacted by email regarding their first game.

If you happen to miss sign-up night, you aren't out of luck. Because our BEWS and WIC leagues are faculty based, you can come out mid-semester and join your faculty’s team, provided you conform to all of our eligibility rules.

All individuals MUST REGISTER WITH THE INTRAMURAL OFFICE before they participate.
