Men's Waterpolo Loses 26-5 To Carleton
Kingston, Ont. (November 3, 2007) - The Queen's Golden Gaels fell behind 9-0 in the first quarter and could never recover as they lost 26-5 to the visiting Carleton Ravens Saturday afternoon in Kingston. The Gaels did not score their first goal till 1:34 of the second quarter and were trailing 14-1 by halftime to the undefeated Ravens. Carleton was led by Milan Stevanovic of Gatineau, Que. who scored six goals with his teammates Zoltan Csepregi of Ottawa, Ont. and Stefan Pavicevic of Ottawa each adding five goals. For the Gaels Paul Linabury of Byron Bay, Ont. had two goals. The Gaels are back in the pool next weekend in Hamilton at McMaster University.
Men's Waterpolo Loses Two Games
Kingston, Ont. (October 20, 2007) - The Queen's Golden Gaels lost both their games Saturday in Kingston, 15-5 to the University of Toronto and 11-3 to the McMaster Marauders. In the first game against Toronto the Gaels trailed just 6-4 at halftime but the Blues scored all five goals of the third period to go on to the victory. Against McMaster Queen's was down 5-0 at halftime and 8-1 after three quarters. Bentley Gaikis of Toronto, Ontario led the Gaels with four goals in the two games with Eric Jones of Hamilton, Ontario adding two. The Gaels are back in action next weekend when they travel to Ottawa.
Men's Waterpolo Loses Three On Weekend
Kingston, Ont (October 29, 2006) - The Queen's Golden Gaels lost three OUA games this weekend at Queen's. On Saturday the Gaels lost 19-13 to McMaster and 15-11 to York with Rob Prentice scoring 6 goals against the Marauders and three against York. On Sunday Queen's lost again to York this time by a 15-8 score, Prentice, Evan Verkade and Eric Jones each scored two goals in that one.

Men's Water Polo 1-2 in Ottawa
Ottawa, Ont (October 15, 2006) - The Queen's Golden Gaels men's water polo team won their first league game and then dropped their final two at Carleton University in Ottawa on the weekend. The Gaels blasted the Western Ontario Mustangs in the opener 19-9 behind 8 goals each from Rob Prentice and Eric Jones. The University of Toronto beat the Gaels 13-7 with Prentice and Jones each scoring two and then the host Ravens blasted Queen's 11-4 with Jones scoring a hat trick. The Gaels return to action in two weekends at home.
