PHE '55 Alumnae Trophy (Top Female Athlete)
Eilish McConville - Soccer
The fourth year Chemical Engineering student was the most dominant female soccer player in the CIS this season. She led the OUA and CIS in scoring with an unprecedented 22 goals during the 2006 regular season, five more than anyone else in the country and ten more than anyone else in the OUA. Eilish scored 55 goals during her four year career as a Gael and was named the CIS Rookie of the Year in 2003-04. This season she received the Chantal Navert Award in recognition of being named the CIS Player of the Year. Her 22 goals this season accounted for 50% of the team's total and was more than the 12 of the 17 OUA teams scored. Eilish won the Alfie Pierce Award in 2003-04 and was named a first team All Canadian in three of her four years and a second team All Canadian in 2004-05. This season the Ottawa native scored a goal in 10 of the Gaels 16 league games, scored two or more goals in 7 of those games and 3 or more in 3 league games. Academically the Chemical Engineering student has been given the Dean's Award in each of her first three years for an 80% cumulative average. |

Jenkins Trophy (Top Male Athlete)
Steve Willis - Volleyball
The fifth year Masters student has been one of the key players on the back to back OUA volleyball champion Gaels. The libero was voted Libero of the Year for the OUA in 2005-06. Steve has been in the CIS top ten in digs/sets for the three consecutive seasons and has been a CIS Academic All Canadian for the past two years. He is a Masters student in Mining Engineering and this season helped the Gaels to a second consecutive trip to the CIS Championships. In 2005 Steve represented Canada at the World Maccabia Games. |

Award of Merit (Team Sport - Women)
Erin Bailey - Rugby
Erin is a four year member of the Golden Gaels women's rugby team and has been a league all star and CIS All Canadian in each of the three previous seasons. The Gaels made the difficult move up from the Russell to Sheils division this season and finished fourth. Erin was a member of FISU 7's rugby team in 2006 and also participated as a member of the Canada U-23 and Ontario Provincial Senior and U-19 teams. Erin was a team captain for the past two years. |

Jim Tait (Team Sport - Men)
Brad Smith - Football
Brad played four full seasons and finishes as the Gaels leader in touchdown receptions for a career with 23. A two-time OUA 1st team All-Star and two-time 1st team All Canadian Brad Smith has been a key part of the Gaels offensive exploits for four seasons. He led the team with 7 touchdowns this season as the Gaels made it to the OUA semi finals before losing to the eventual champion Ottawa Gee Gees. He was also a co-winner of the Alfie Pierce award in 2003-04. |

Marion Ross (Individual Sport - Women)
Rachel Coens - Figure Skating
Rachel Coens has been a 2 year co captain with the figure skating team. She finished won 5 OUA events and as a result is a five time OUA All Star. Rachel helped lead the Gaels to 3 OUA team championships and one third place finish. |

Jack Jarvis (Individual Sport - Men)
Simon Gowdy - Rowing
Rowing standout Simon Gowdy has been a great contributor to the Gaels. This season Simon went undefeated in winning the OUA lightweight single gold medal. During his five year career he has finished first in 4 events and helped the team win one OUA team title and three second place results. Simon is also a three time member of the Canadian U-23 Rowing Team. |

Alfie Pierce (Outstanding Rookie - Female)
Elizabeth Kench - Hockey
Elizabeth Kench was named the OUA Rookie of the Year, a member of the OUA All-Rookie team, and led the league in rookie scoring with 10 goals and 10 assists. A player of strong determination, Elizabeth showed strength both offensively and defensively, possessing a deadly shot and seeing extensive action on both the power play and penalty killing. She scored 3 game winning goals for the OUA silver medalist Gaels. |

Alfie Pierce (Outstanding Rookie - Male)
Ryan Gibb - Hockey
Ryan Gibb was named OUA East Rookie of the Year and a second team OUA East All Star. In his rookie season at Queen's, Ryan started all 28 league games one of only two goaltenders in the CIS to start that many games. He faced more shots and made more saves than any other goaltender in the country. In 28 games this season Ryan faced 1048 shots making 961 saves. |
